Hi everyone! Just wanted to send out a heads up of an upcoming Tramp. I'll be taking off for the next three weeks to explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the U.S with a jaunt into Canada. It's time to escape the Arizona heat.
This Tramp will involve a few days in Portland before heading into Washington state for a climb of Mt. Adams. Last year I had the pleasure of climbing Mt. Rainier (click here to see the Rugged Tramper story of this climb), so this year I wanted to attempt its sister peak, Mt. Adams. Weather permitting, it's going to be a great climb. With a few days to explore Oregon, (and its many brewpubs!) I'll then head up to North Cascades National Park in Washington for a 5-day, 47-mile loop backpack. The scenery will be incredible!
From here, I'll then make my way up to Vancouver, B.C. One of my favourite cities in the world, I'll spend a few days here before driving up to Whistler for a few days of mountain biking madness. My last couple of days will then be spent over on Vancouver Island.
This is going to be a great trek, so stay tuned for posts on this adventure and hopefully, of course, some great photos. I'll be taking both my Nikon D700 & D80 as well as my two 'travel' lenses - my Nikkor 16-35mm & 28-300mm.
See you in three weeks!
